Why we follow the session
Clever Comet Jolt is an independent, informative website about creative workflows using intelligent tools for sound production. We write for musicians who want a clearer process, not another promise that software will finish the song for them.
The musical task comes first
A model name tells you less than a useful question. We organise our coverage around writing a brief, arranging material, shaping sound and preparing a release. Tools enter where they can help a decision; they do not define every stage of the work.
Our intended reader is an independent musician or small production team using an ordinary studio setup. You should be able to apply the listening method even if your software changes.
Listening stays accountable
We distinguish audible observations from product claims and format specifications. We do not call an output original, cleared or release-ready merely because it sounds polished. Where a capability depends on a tool, version or subscription, check the current documentation.
Examples on this site illustrate a method. They are not promises that a particular instruction will produce a predictable musical result.
Sources have a job
We link to technical standards, software manuals and relevant rights organisations beside the claims they help explain. A primary document is more useful than a copied feature list, but it still has a scope. A loudness standard does not prescribe every master; a service licence does not resolve every rights question.
Named tools and organisations are contextual references, not statements of endorsement or affiliation.
Corrections keep the session open
If a source has changed or a passage is unclear, send the page URL, the relevant wording and a supporting reference. Explain what a reader would do differently after the correction. Specific, reproducible observations help us separate a genuine issue from a difference in taste.
We cannot review confidential contracts, provide individual legal advice or promise a response to every message. Use the note composer for an editorial question or correction.
