What these technologies do
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser and sent with relevant requests. LocalStorage stores information for a website in your browser without automatically attaching it to each request. Both can remember preferences. Neither is required to compose a musical brief or read our editorial pages.
Storage in the editorial site
The editorial page scripts do not set advertising or analytics cookies, create visitor identifiers or save contact drafts to localStorage. Navigation state and scroll animations operate in page memory. Ordinary browser caching of HTML, styles, scripts and images is separate from advertising tracking and can help pages load efficiently.
| Feature | Purpose | Storage behaviour |
|---|---|---|
| Mobile navigation | Open and close the link menu | Page memory only |
| Note composer | Create a plain-text preview | No draft saved by the site |
| Copy message | Place text on your clipboard | Managed by your browser and device |
| Download text | Keep a local message file | Saved where your browser directs downloads |
| Consent preferences, where presented | Remember your choice | Managed by the site’s consent control |
Cookie preferences
If a consent control is displayed on the website, use it to accept optional storage or select Essential Only. Optional storage must not be activated before the required consent. A saved preference may be used to remember your decision. Reading the articles and using the local note composer do not require acceptance of advertising or analytics storage.
You can also inspect, block or clear cookies and site data in your browser’s privacy settings. Select clevercometjolt.com in the list of stored site data to remove information associated with this domain. Clearing a saved consent choice may cause a consent control to ask again. Blocking essential storage may affect preference retention, but the editorial navigation and articles remain available.
Browser controls vary. See the official guidance for Firefox, Chrome or Safari. Clearing website data does not delete files you downloaded or text stored in your device’s clipboard history.
External links
Following a source link takes you to another website. That website may use its own cookies or tracking technologies under its own policies. Our pages link to those sources rather than loading their embedded players, external fonts or scripts.
